Hi All

Anybody out there have any info / guestimate's of what the golf fees / structure (ie Annual, Weekly , Per Round etc.) are likely to be.

Maintenance / Community charges again anybody have any ideas.

(Mar Menor owners maybe able to advise)

I'm new to this message board so apologies if you have had a similar reply. From trawling round what La Torre appartments are paying, a guess for a 2 bed appertment will be 80-120 Euros a month. This seems a fair price and I was pleasantly surprised. Also in line with what I was advised when I went on the inspection visit 18 month ago. Apparently the upper floors have the lift servicing to consider and the ground floor units have additional gardening costs if it's not being cared for by the owner.

The actual Community Charges have not yet been set at any of the PW resorts where there are apartments, so there is no way of knowing what they will be on either La Torre or Hacienda Riquelme. Common guess is around 100 - 120 Euros per month, but could easily be quite different at the various resorts depending on resort size, number of residents, facilities to cover, etc. There are significant differences between LT and HR for instance in size and upkeep needs, which is what the Community Charges relate to.

There has not been a legal Community set-up yet at La Torre so no charges have yet been established for any properties there.  Mar Menor are all villas or townhouses at the moment and their Community Charges are roughly about 180-220 per month.

Do not assume though that apartments will necessary be cheaper than villas .... the upkeep of the communal areas of an apartment block such as Carpark, Gardens, Pools, Lifts, Stairs etc are far greater than a villa, albeit more to share the cost.  

Examples of Golf at Mar menor .... no rates yet for La Torre

18 holes : 77 E in high season and 55 E in Low season

              Annual ticket 1,315 E     6Mthly ticket 945 E      Wkly 160 E

Golf rates at La Torre are currently the same as those at MMGR posted below.....and you can use the tickets at either course.

La Torre course (9 Holes only) opened 2nd Nov for general play.

So at the moment assume that Golf Rates will be similar, at least to begin with, at all the PW Resorts and that tickets purchased will be interchangeable and usable at all courses. I guess the next test of this will be El Valle inclusion before Hacienda.

I think even with tickets there is still a small additional charge...7.50 euros or something per round for insurance and temporary Spanish Golf Federation licence or something.

...also ticket holders get cheaper Buggies/Trolleys/ClubHire/Lessons etc
