Latest Visit

Hi all

Just an update following our visit in December 2010. We had a VERY busy visit involving lots of furniture building, resolving snagging items, discussing utilities etc. I have been impressed by the way Romanber have responded to the snagging items, having resolved nearly all of them, and to a good standard too.

When we left, whilst we had electricity in the flat, we did not yet have water. During our visit, Gestagua (the water co) did a site survey for all the new blocks and asked Romanber to fix a couple of issues - Romanber addressed these and were awaiting Gestagua's follow-up visit. As I understand it, the connections can then proceed straight after this. Hopefully we'll hear soon that the water is on.

So sadly we had to stay in a hotel during our stay due to the lack of water, however we are looking forward to our next visit when hopefully we can relax in our own flat and not have to build any more furniture. We have fallen even more in love with Arcos and the surrounding area and are pleased with our decision to buy property here.

Thanks to the friendly neighbours we met and were kind enough to offer us a hot drink - you know who you are, and we are very grateful to you.

Sounds like your experience was very similar to ours - We too can not wait to get back out to Arcos.

We have booked flights for Easter and Summer and will visit as soon as we can after utilities are connected.

Not sure if the electric is a direct supply or routed via Romanber's at the moment - Will find out when a bill arrives.

Romanber's cleaner used water from a hose near the pool when she cleaned our apartment and suggested we used a bucket to get water (presume to flush, etc.) in the end we were glad, like you, we stayed in a hotel.

Regarding Arcos , I know how you feel. I can't wait to get back either.
