Air Con Heating Unit

Just returned from DV weather was glorious but cool in evenings. Unfortunately heating pump of air con unit would not work - lots of cold air but no heat.  Has anyone had this problem or have any knowledge of how to correct.

Most grateful  for any advice.

I'm not sure if this is the same problem but on my last visit in January I had to coax the heating into working.  After turning the heating on, all would seem okay and then after about 10 minutes the fan light would flash and no heat.  It took about 5 or 6 goes for it to eventually stay on and to work after trying various combinations of setting the required temperature very low to very high.

the flashing light on the control unit is a symptom of lack of gas in the system. I have had mine topped up several times and it dies fix the problem

Steve,  interested to know if you cured the problem and how?

John - how much does it cost to top up the gas in the system?   And would you recommend your supplier?

We have had no reoccurrence of the problem I mentioned but we are going to get the aircon serviced and top up the gas anyway; just in case.
