Car hire from Malaga

We are coming over to Duquesa in March landing at Malaga Airport, we used a car rental company  which was located about half mile or so from the airport [cannot rember the name] but very good -  collected you at the airport and drove you to their garage to collect the car - saved the queues in the airport.  Can anybody advise on the rental company name if not recommend another company

Ive used malagacarhire.com for years  they are very good and as you say they collect you at the airport and take you to their offices 3 mins away .Fuel policy is good as well they give you a full tank and you take it back full

We always use Helle Hollis - can't be beaten!  Airport collection and return is always super quick.  Cars clean and in excellent condition. Good customer service, very polite, unlike some of the car hire companies on airport!

Fair fuel policy - pay for a full tank and return for full refund, or a refund for every quarter of a tank you bring back.

Also join their 'Home Owners club'.  15% off every booking on top of free upgrade or earlybird discount.  Each year you also accrue loyalty bonus.  Any bonus earnt is taken off the price of any rental the following year.

Malagacar.com are very good..they are just outside the airport 2 mins away in pick up..no queues. Just booked 10 days in March/april..they are almost half the price of Hele Hollis. Another good one in the hall is Record...and the best screen scraping site I have found is Doyouspain.com

Just taken a look at the doyouspain.com site.  If you book on this site, how do you know who you are booking with and what their terms are?  On the FAQ it seems to say you will be advised all the details such as fuel policy, etc AFTER you have made your booking! 

I won't book a hire car until I have seen who I will be renting it from and what the fuel policy is, surely you get this information before commiting to a booking?

Am I missing something?

I would also recommend www.hirecarsinspain.com/ - we don't hire cars now, living here, but when we have used them they were great.  You can check out all the details online before you book and choose the hire company (I haven't checked the site recently, but that's how it always used to be).  Very good service.

We also, when we moved here, used marbesol.com/ who were very competitive for long-term hire.  We hired from their Marbella office, but they have an office just across the bridge from the airport on the new travellator in the car park.  Might be worthwhile checking.

Edited to say: there is also Brunos, in the port.  We have also used them and have friends who use them and are very happy with their service.

A helpful thread.  I just checked four sites for prices of economy class car for two weeks.  The lowest was using hirecarinspain and selecting MalagaCar.    At £176 with tank half full - return half full for refund.

Others were priced at £225, £210 and thereabouts.
