Things to do Easter please.

A Million apologies if these kind of threads have been set up before.  We are over at Easter (not been since last Summer) we are taking my wifes parents with us.  Could anyone recommend some places to see, restaurants to eat as I would like to show them around in the week we are there at easter.

One other question.  Is anyone aware of any easter parades taking place locally or in murcia.

A trip to Aguilas is worthwhile.  It is a really nice town only 45 mins or so from CDA.  It has a lovely central plaza and great marina/seafront.  On the first Sunday of each month there is a fleamarket there too. You can go down the AP7 or, alternatively, just follow the coast down where you will go over some lovely mountainous terrain and pass through some seafront villages - where we stopped off and had breakfast on the beach - literally- at a small cafe. Another good day out is to Cartagena (if you have satnav then log 'Calle Real' into it to get you to the seafront) where you can go an a super catamaran/boat trip around the bay for a reasonable price. The architecture in Cartagena is beautiful too. 

 Loads of processions around in towns, villages and cities. Remember though Thursday before good friday is a Bank Holiday, Easter Monday is a normal day. I hope that the weather is good for you.Last weekend was nice but it was poor earlier this week when I was over.

If you are over for Easter make sure that you check out the Burning of The Sardine festival in Murcia. We were there last year purely by chance and all I can say is WOW. Similar to carnival in this country but better. During the day in the city you can see a procession and then in the evening the parade is massive with about 1 million toys off floats for all the children. If you get there early enough I would recommend renting chairs at the front - the spanish load up with drinks and food and make a whole night of it. You can catch the train from Alhama and they put on a later one coming back purely fro this festival.
