Hi All,
Popped over to Covera for the day yesterday and there seems to be a problem with the swimming pools, Geen and full of algae?
Any ideas as to whats happened or who I need to contact to get this sorted?
Thanks

To report any problem in communal areas, you should contact Ana Escribano at Housing.
Contact details are :- phone 649 683 500 or email to clientes@housingcomunidades.com
The more people who write in, the more likely action will be taken to correct any problems.

Hi,
Well our apartment is on Calle Laurel block 11.
I emailed Ana and she replied that this is due to the reduction in services and that someone will be looking at the pools shortly.
I did reply to her asking if the reduction in services means that we can expect this type of thing on a regualr basis but as of yet she still hasnt replied!!!
A little concerning really if this is a sign of things to come!
Regards
Leah

Hi Leah, strange answer from Ana at housing as pool maintenance is paid for by each community for the pool / pools in their community. Our community charges ( South Island ) have been kept the same as last year these cannot / should not be reduced unless agreed at the annual AGM for your individual community.
Cut backs that have been spoken about recently and discussed at the AGM a week past Thusday were to do with the Entity - charged seperately from the community charges.

Hi there,
I have an apartment on Calle Laurel (apt 28B) as well, I emailed Housing asking about the pool nearest the apartment (as I am going out there tomorrow with some friends for the weekend to show them the gaff!). This is the reply I got:
This pool has a broken pipe, the insurance will repair it in 10 days more or less
Rgds,
I.

Different subject on pools;
I completed in Sept 2009 and after all the snagging issues were resolved in Dec 2010 (yes it took almost 15 months) - we occupied the property (well for our breaks).
Pool wasn't in use as it was too cold.
Now pool needs to be in operation but pump is submerged in water (poor design factor) and there is a issue with warranty........................Been quoted 700.00 E to put it right. Although I haven't met up with my neighbours but Moira has assured me that I have super neighbours (blessing). Don't wish to let my neighbours down by neglecting this issue.
Has anyone experienced this problem with pump/housing/replacement of pump due to poor workmanship?
Be very grateful.
Rav.

We have actually been involved in rectifying this design problem in a number of villas which is easy to do by addinng an external seal
A new pump price is nearer €300
Not sure who is advising or quoting on the pump but €700 is well over the top for those pools plus normally the first thing to is first punt the pump in for repair as they may be able to re-build it, then sort out the design problem with the housing
You cannot leave a pool going brown with frogs as it can become a lot more expensive to put right especially if you get infested with black algae
Please contact me if you need another quote
