Nope,
Been nowt in the papers since March, would suspect we won't hear much until the end of the year when the land purchase agreement is up. Course if the big bill boards go up on the site and the diggers move in I'll let you know :-)

Paramount Theme Park
The development community played up the news that the Paramount film studio was planning to build a theme park in Murcia. But it turns out the Hollywood giant was only licensing its name to a group of local developers. The licence was formally issued in March, but the group still needs to raise financing to build the park, according to media reports.

Was sent this today but it doesn't really say anymore than what we already know.

Relax...
Business group from Japan have already fronted the largest investment...but I agree....it is a very slow process getting started..let us keep the faith.....those of us who are here for investment only need this project to succeed...all along it has been known that Paramount is here only on "license and planning" of project and we NEED their expertise regarding "theme-parks"...This together with Corvera Airport will be a great success...Just 25 minutes to the airport !!! Let us stay positive...I believe in this....

With the Japans enconmy currently in recession and having hardly grown in the last 10 years. Combined with their worst natural disaster for generations, I would be amazed if they chose to invest in a theme park in the middle of a deserted region of Spain.
Dont believe everything you hear. His first ever post making claims like this? Are you an estate agent Bravo?

I'd have to agree with Darren...just a matter of waiting and seeing what happens.
I believe they need to have things organised within a year otherwise the licence lapses.
But there are still plenty of people with money and their decision will be a long term one. As it probably wouldn't be built and running for at least 2-3 years the current recession may not be as big a factor as you might think. I give it a chance of happening but a long way short of a certainty as some seem to think.

dinnae underestimate the wealth of japan....yes, the media may go on abt the lost decade and we all know about the earthquake...but they're still the 3rd largest global economy with a GDP more than twice as great as the UK......they continue to invest across the word, across a wide variety of sectors and technologies.....

Some of the biggest property buyers in London right now are the wealthy Greeks, just because a country maybe knackered it doesn't mean all individuals or businesses are as well - if your home economy is static then invest elsewhere for better returns/spread the tisk etc ......................... and again despite the UK property market being in a distressed state as a whole, there are pockets such as London which continue to prosper
