Filipino In Need of Advice

Hi all,

Don't know if anybody is aware of meeting dates etc for the comunity in 07.? Fincal, as far as I am aware have not issued any dates as yet.

Any information etc would be much appreciated.

Hi everyone

I sent off a letter sevral weeks ago as I said I was not paying any fees until I received a set of the Community Rules. I have still had no reply so I will chase this up when we are out at Easter. Has anyone receved these rules?

I also asked what all the fees were for in detail as we are in Block 6 and when we went out in October and December the block was not being cleaned at all. Have been out in mid Feb and it now looks ok.  Has everyone else paid up?

Hi All,

We were at LB last week and tried to get as much info as possible on a number of issues (Meetings, Pool opening, Rules & regulations etc).

As far as the Main Pool is concerned, it is full & looks good. However there were workmen tiling the Bar area. The smaller pool, next to it, is a long way from completion. Spoke to Saskia at P&D and Sole at Fincal about opening dates. Saskia believes that the developer has submitted all the required paperwork to the Town Council and is awaiting their approval in order to hand over to the community. In her words this could be "days, a week, two weeks, who knows ?" Her best guess was by the end of this month. Sole at Fincal was not aware that the developer had submitted paperwork until we told her. We need to keep the pressure up on this to ensure the opening is sooner rather than later.

We were given copies (in English) of the community meetings held 12/1, 26/1, 23/2 & 30/3/07 and were told that the next was due 15/7/07. Fincal were putting the agenda together & would send out to all owners. I have received an email today with that Agenda attached (but the meeting now seems to be 21/7/07). Fincal want to encourage British owners to have representatives on the residents committee (Do not have to be resident in Spain). It would be a good idea to have someone that we could channel our concerns through & ensure that they are voiced to the committee. Would anybody like to volunteer ? Is anybody at LB on 21st that can attend the meeting, it would be good to know what happens.

The Rules & Regulations are all in Spanish and I have asked that they be translated and sent out to British owners (Don't know if this will be done). Only articles 25 to 31 (swimming pool regs) were in english, so I also have a copy of this.

If anybody wants a copy of the meeting minutes or Pool Regs, let me know & I'll scan and send them. Sorry this reply is long winded (my 1st time on any forum) I promise to keep it shorter next time !

Hi All

Have just joined this site.  We were at LB in August and there were so many rumours circulating about progress of the complex, opening of the pools etc.  It would be good to find out what is really happening!  Fincal gave us the email for the president of block 7, who is English but married to a Spaniard and living in Almerimar.  She is happy for English people to contact her and she will be attending the meetings.  At the moment the English are very poorly represented and are having little say in how the running of the complex is structured.  It would be very useful if the English people could network and find those with similar views who are able to attend meetings and take a proxy vote.
