Anybody know why the street lights are out half way down Calle de Murcia ? Is it the Electric company or Masa who are in control of these ? Can anybody throw a light on this .

Still no sign of the street lights coming on , and nobody seems to know who's responsibility it is . The worrying thing is , is this the start of our lights being turned off .

Hi Frank & Lesley,
I think it is the Ayuntiamento Murcia that you need to contact - they are the people who fixed our lights about 18 Mths ago; and the covers on the footpaths next to the lights have their name on.

You need to ask your administrator if the council have taken responsibility for the lighting. If they have it would be the councils responsibility. If not it is down to the developer who may have decided to stop paying the electricity bill for the street lighting. I live on Mar Menor Golf resort and the council still have not taken over the responsibility of street lighting. Polaris World stopped paying for the lighting late last year and we at the moment are paying extra on our community fee to keep the lights on. We are also paying for this service through our council tax.
