TV Re-tune

Hi, TV's on-site will need to be re-tuned as a2z telecom formerly Polaris World Telecom, have re-set their equipment today.

Did mine last night. Initially you get a load more channels - not english - and the order of where they appear on the menu is totally different which is unhelpful. However, they eventually realign themselves in the original order. So don´t panic.

Incidentally, the reception in the mornings at the moment is poor for some reason. JF

Hi, basically if you have tv with built in digital cable tuner, that will need to be re-tuned, a simple operation with the remote control.

If you have a separate digital box then that will need to be re-tuned. Some of those can be re-tuned automatically via the remote control.

My particular experience has given more channels, and a much better picture on BBC1 which had been very poor in August.

 hi since they did what they did to the television signal its made my picture snowy its done somthing which has mucked up the signal coming though my video machine which is inbetween the digi box and the television  i had it all working perfectly before the15/9/11 is there any boffins out there who can inlight me what they done i also had to retune my digi box that ment i had re-sought the english programmes which takes ages; and somthing else i could not understand, on the 15/9/11 there was two channels unaffected channel 4 and film 4 whys that?somebody help me!

I had same problem last night when we arrived.  I auto retuned the programs and it moved to AtoZ telecomm but I also only got Ch4 & Film 4.

I reset my Polaris box by holding the on/off button for a few seconds until the retune came up on screen.  I selected English as the language and off it went retuning again.  Hey presto....................  perfect picture all channels :o)

 A2Z used two symbol rates, one only had C4 and Film 4 the other had all the rest.  On the 15th the moved all the channels onto the first one so C4 and Film 4 were the only channels that didn't move.  If your having problems drop me a line.

we just got back, and all we got for the last few days was C4 and Film 4.  Numerous re-tunes didnt work.  How can we get the channels back?

hi phil why is the new signal coming through my vidio weak and in black and white if i take the rf lead away between the television and the video and just use the scart lead the picturers good but then of course i loose my spainish digital television built into the tely also since the switch over i dont seem to have any extra channels and lost bbc2 london. 

Thinking of buying a new tv with built in decoder for our apartment, do all tv's with a built in decoder work, if I buy it locally or do I need to find a specific digital decoder for it to work?

Any more suggestions, just tried the instructions below and it made no difference. I only have C4 and C4 movies. I was hoping to watch rubgy tomorrow

I am using a THE BOX usb 2 reciever box, any suggestions how to reset it or manually tune in the channels.

Hi Martin,

We had to do a full reciever re-tune 3 times before it eventually re-programmed itself.

Suggest you give it another try.
