I hadn't realised that news of the proposed Paramount Park was really out there to a wider public audience because anytime I googled it I got the same old sites telling only what we already knew. I realised the promotional video had got onto UTube but that was about all I'd seen outside Spanish press releases and simply networking. Therefore it was interesting to see that it now comes up on a few of those forums for people interested in new rides and new theme parks.
A property forum I use only ever generates terribly negative comments about the project, the reality of raising the amount of funding and where investors may be found and the fact that (they feel) it will never happen and that the proposal is all smoke and mirrors designed to raise the profile of Murcia. For some of those posters I feel it is sour grapes as they wanted the project in the Costa Del Sol but others are genuine property and land investors who just can't see the project getting off the ground and query the sense of it being built in Murcia or in Spain. For most they don't see it bringing in the clientel numbers from across Europe that have been quoted- I dont think they see that most Spanish holiday in their own country, which alone give opportunities for huge tourist numbers. The posters talk of the general failure of other amusement parks- but I feel they miss the point and thyat Paramount Park isnt 'just' another amusement park. However, I have to agree that getting this to fruititian in the current financial haze will be difficult. Other posters have suggested that PW clung onto CdA for much longer than they should because they 'knew' that this proposal was in the pipeline and desperately wanted to have the potential of CdA if it ever gets off the ground.
On a positive note check out the link below, one point in the info is that Feb 6th 2012 seems to be a relevant date for PREMURSA to close their part of the deal:-

Open excersised its option for links into brochures with more detail than I've seen before for the park and lifestyle centre.
