Sail shade

Just put one up!

The pergola size is roughly 4m x 4m. We got our shade sail from Bradshaws direct.co.uk, if you type this in to search box on website it will take you to it. The size we got was 3.6m x 3.6m which fits just right. With fittings cost is about £100. Took ours in hand luggage.

ABOUT 2/3 YRS AGO QUITE A FEW PEOPLE, OURSELVES INCLUDED, BOUGHT SAILS FROM  A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT OUTLETS INCLUDING iKEA & MOST FOUND THAT UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO PUT THEM UP & TAKE THEM DOWN AGAIN ACCORDING TO THE TIME OF YEAR & WEATHER CONDITIONS  THEY WILL EITHER ROT BECAUSE OF THE DIFFERING TEMPERATURES OR JUST  FALL APART DUE TO THE STRONG WINDS.

ABOUT 18 MONTHS AGO WE HAD A CANOPY WHICH WE PURCHASED FROM PACO MOLINA. HE USUALLY HAS ONE OF HIS VEHICLES PARKED OUTSIDE AL KAZAR  WTH ALL CONTACT DETAILS

 WE HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROPBLEMS SINCE. & WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We bought an IKEA canopy in 2008 (in fact 2 for £10 as they were in a sale) we generally leave it up when we are on the resort unless the weather is very, very windy. However, we do take it down between our failry regular visits. It takes only a couple of minutes to put up but we did away with the rope work they supplied and bought metal clips from a camping store and use them in the corners and midway along the sides. It is still going strong and we have a spare- I dare say one day we'll get a retractable canopy but if you want an economical option to tide you over I'd say these do the job. I imagine if you were using it virtually all the time then they may not be robust enough as the combination of the wind and the sun April-Oct will be pretty damaging.
