You make a great point and I totally agree with you. I was fortunate enough a couple of weeks ago to spend a weekend at La Manga for some golf and whilst I was there I noticed that there was an entire Dutch football  ladies/girls squad as well a s a men's team staying there for a trainig break/weekend. That must bring revenue in to their resort and I think we could definitley have a bit of that action.  

Whilst we have not got all the facillities of the La Manga I'm sure it would take us long to get moreof  the excellent recent improvements to our resort if we could get this facillity back up to scratch. Then entire community would benefit from it not just our children and the residents who wish to use the ptches.

I know there are some issues over the irrigation at present and now's not the best time to ruffle anyones feathers about the pitches but I feel really strongly and if we could just get someone to at least investigate the costs even for one pitch; the community would know what we'd in for and as I repeat I may be able to get some sponsorship arranged.

I suspect a complete re turf would be needed, apart from the earlier days, they have never been cared for. I can only assume Mileniun are not at all interested in any Football activities for the Resort.

It is a crying shame, because i believe they could make some revenue made Hosting a Tournament or two

 Mileniun have arranged for the football pitches to be cut today.

I just saw them and they are literally just cutting them.

Saw a father and son kicking around, but I would still not play on them myself.

We need to approach Mileniun and Presidents formally, and united... I have a few ideas and am happy to be a representative resident.

We have just purchased a propertyin garden 10, i have 2 teenage sons who are football addicts and would love the pitches

to be playable.

I agree with Pete that tournaments could be hosted, we go on football tours every year with a local tour comapnay who organises tournements abroad, i could pass his details on to someone to see if a tournement is a viable option.

We went to Holland last year with 6 different age groups, the kids loved it.

The only football tournaments in Condado this year will be 'Subbuteo' ones judging by the photo's I have seen of the pitches. I would not let hikers & cavers loose on that surface never mind sons or daughters. Those pitches are beyond redemption other that digging up & starting again. Pretty much same condition as last year but worse again. Forget any thoughts you have of friendly little football competitions unless you make sure there is a St Johs Ambulance brigade team on standby.
