El Patio deposit refunded - miracle by Costaluz Lawyers

Finally, a day I thought I might never see. Maria and her fantastic team have won our case and our deposit on El Patio and our costs have been refunded and the money's in the bank.

I am so relieved and grateful to Costaluz Lawyers who have been incredibly supportive and helpful throughout the long legal process.

How long did you have to wait to receive your deposit & costs?

I have been waiting since 2008 & am trusting Maria to achieve the same result for us.

A friend wo also bought at El Patio and who signed up with Maria at the same time as ourselves

has just received his deposit plus interest last month.

We also put a deposit down on El Patio, Dona Julia.

We changed to Maria in 2008. We got the principle back in Feb this year and the costs etc now.

Greatgolfer - I am sure you will have success soon as it seems that a few cases are now being won on this development.

Times are changing and consumers rights are now being upheld by many courts in accordance with LEY 57/1968.

I know this an old thread but I cannot find anywhere else current relating to El Patio Dona Julia so here goes:

We put deposits on 2 units in El Patio in 2014 with agent Darren from Andalucian Dream Homes, we were told we had bank guarantee and if anything went wrong we could be assured we would get our deposits fully refunded.. we did 10 years later!! After many years of phonecalls, emails, trips,  work, tears and arguments with useless if not corrupt Lawyers of Spain (LOS) we almost gave up.  I received an email from another purchaser in the same development in Feb 2012 and it was the turning point for us when he told me he had received notification of a getting his funds returned and the lawyers he used were Costa Luz Lawyers based in Algeciras (Cadiz). 

It was a bit of work changing from LOS to Costa Luz we had to go to a Notary and get paperwork from LOS to give to Maria and her team to become our legal reps, from that day we saw the light at the end of the tunnel.  The process took time but I must say Maria and her team at Costa Luz Lawyers have been so amazing, always professional and helpful they got on with the job and kept me informed.  We received some of our money back in Feb 2014 and the remainder (2nd dep) in August 2014 so we are thrilled!  Maria and Costa Luz restored our faith in Spain, we found it hard to trust another lawyer after our experience but if you are in a situation like this I would say call Maria now there are still people you can trust in business in Spain.

Jeanmx, I'm so happy to hear of another success for Maria and her team and the end of the stressful times for you with El Patio. It is horrific to think it took ten years, although it took us eight. And that was eight years of worry I do not care to repeat.
