Has anybody been required to sort out wealth tax,if so what figures have been given. thanks in anticipation

Hi,

Wealth tax is calculated from the valuation of your property/mortgage. Your mortgage provider issues a certificate showing exact figures around the start of each financial year. The wealth tax is calculated from this. The tax itself is payable in December.

Most solicitors will act as your fiscal representative to the tax authorities for a small annual fee and will sort everything out for you.

I have been told to expect anything from 300 to 600 euros for a £120000 property.

We only completed in december.I cant be the first to be asked to pay surely,any comments appreciated.

Received the forms to complete. The amount you pay depends on a number of factors including,

Value of property

Amount of mortgage

Also the amount of funds available in your account. At that moment of time!

I have just completed some forms and will be over in Roda soon to arrange payment. Not sure of amount at present but will let you know ASAP
