Hi - is it mandatory to have to go through the management co on Condado to get electricty and water connected? can you do it yourself and save the 40 euro fee per connection charged for thier service? Anyone help or give advice? thanks

Morning
Also do make sure you have your NIE number to hand for these utilty guys - it seems vital in all Spanish utility negotiations !

I have completed three weeks ago but it appears my water is not on. I bought a show home so was told that the utilities just need transferring to my name and the connection is already live/flowing. That said I went there last week, and back again tomorrow, and I couldn't get any water. I played about with all the taps and the main valve in the box outside my apartment but got nothing. I am told the water is on but I can't see how. Can anyone tell me what I am missing?

Hi there are taps in your kitchen and bathroom high up on the wall, check to see if they are turned on. Also make sure you have a water metre. can't quite think of anything else at the moment. Gill

As gill said make sure the taps on the kitchen wall are turned fully on, I guess this is like the mains tap in the UK
We had a similar problem when we completed, and late one night the plumbing guy turned up in his evening best, and wound out the taps a lot further than I would have darared and the water magically came back
I guess you have the water meter visible in your utility cupboard so know that the connection is live ?
