How difficult can it get in deciding which direction to go
1 Fight the case which many solicitors know cant be won however you get the massive legal bill alongside the loss of deposit when and if you loose
2 If you loose and decide to complete you may find the biggest financial headache you could have dreamed possible.
3 How many will live to regret not completing because of a habitation licence issue which was the advice and still is to this day by some without looking at a case by case basis Seems it could have been very dangerous and expensive advice in many cases.
Seems that advice given in an attempt to inflict as much damage to this development , more so its Sister Development at Santa Maria Green Hills ( fantastic website by the way) for mainly personal reasons and vengeful reasons have much to consider.
At least those that did complete will soon have the habitation licence, purchased at a time when the Pound was worth much more against the Euro and mortgages were available
Seems some may be sitting on a balancing asset and have flexibility to sell and convert to sterling.
Find it difficult how they can ever be worse off unless of course if those they win outright AND are able to get paid ( not much chance of that however)
Always did say that this is probably one of the best areas in Spain and will be the first to bounce back and with Malaga Airports expansion lots more potential buyer may come with them ,though not in the short term
However perhaps prices will fall to such levels that completing has also been a headache however at least there is something tangible to rent/use as a home or sell when the market comes back.
The only losers at the moment are the ones that have crystallized looses same as selling in the stock market at the moment.
Oops forgot mortgage payments have gone up but many Banks are starting to listen.
