Has anybody else suffered a torrent of abuse from staff and management at the club house? After waiting approx 2 hours for starters whe were told that we still had approx 2 orders to wait before we were to be served. An agecent party of 10 and another of 4 had been waiting longer! After there meals turned up incorrect and cold they were told by management abusively if they had a complainet take it to the police. We ourselves were called liers when we complained we had waited over 2 hours ! As regulars we were a little taken aback by the level of service , surely it is everybodies interest if the only restaurant on site offers a polite and punctual service!!

The regular staff there are always very polite but this particular evening there were 2 staff we had not seen before. After 2 hours of not having our starter we asked where it was and the female waitress denied all knowledge of taking our order. Before leaving we asked to speak to the manager who came over but suddenly decided he could speak no English knowing very well he could! The young waiter then told us to call the police if we wanted to complain and was very rude! After 5 years of our custom, doubt we will ever eat there again!!

Never had anything but pleasant, friendly and polite service whenever we go there ourselves, with the permanent staff always recognising us from previous visits and greeting us with a smile, so hopefully this is a one-off.
Out again in late August so will report back.
Question: The young waiter wasn't called "Basil" was he? Lol

HOLA,
WE ARE JUST BACK AFTER 10DAYS OF VERY HOT SUNNY WEATHER AND HAVING VISITED THE CASA CLUB ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS I AM SHOCKED TO HEAR NEGATIVE COMMENTS.
DURING OUR VISITS WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN SERVED IN A COURTIOUS FRIENDLY MANNER AND HAVE NO COMPLIANTS.
AMANCIO AND HIS STAFF ARE DOING A GREAT JOB IN LOOKING AFTER MEMBERS AND GUESTS.
HAVING SAID THIS THERES ALWAYS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT AND A CHANGE IN THE MENU IS WELL OVERDUE.
IF ANYONE DOES HAVE CAUSE TO COMPLAIN THEN BEHIND THE BAR THERE IS A COMPLAINTS BOOK !!

It was a thursday evening we were there and placed our order about 9.00. It was fairly busy but think if you eat earlier you do get served a lot quicker. As said previously we have been going there for 5 years now and have never had any problems and yes the regular staff always say hello, maybe the 2 that served us just have no manners!! Not sure if his name was basil??? Lol. Couple of nights later we went to the roof bar with some other owners from our block and as she was walking along, one of the tiles gave way, she fell trapping her foot in between the tile cutting her foot and badly spraining her wrist. It must happen quite often as within minutes the tile had been replaced. Dread to think if that happened to an elderly person or child. Happy holidays

We are not able to go to Roda very often but we always eat in the Clubhouse a couple of times during our stay and whilst the food is usually ok, we really think the menu needs changing by now. For those who eat there more often it must be quite difficult to get excited when faced with the same menu. Maybe someone who knows the owner/manager could have a quiet word!!

We never go near the club house no matter how long we are over at Roda for. The food is crap and the service is apathetic at best. When new management takes over we will be back like a shot but not till then.

we have found the two (managers i think) to be very good and always friendly on our visits , however the two younger males can can be offhand and generally unwelcoming we asked for some drinks and were told im busy you will have to wait ( there were omly ourselfes ans one other table bothinside and on the terrace) when we finally ordered the food was wrong when it arrived , we asked for the bill and were just given a figure we asked for the printed bill ( which he was not happy about) and it was totally different to his verbal figure (genuine mistake or not .. ?) . the quality of the food is very hit and miss and the menu could do with a revamp its getting very tired and unimaganative . also we noticed the clubhouse itsself is starting to look a little neglected and could do with a little TLC stains down the side of the building , varnish peeling off etc just routine maintenance but never the less important on a 5* resort .
one thing we noticed was children bringing there own drinks into the clubhouse and taking up seating areas while using the wifi , whilst we quite rightly pick up on issues with staff and service these people are trying to run a business not a free wifi recreation area , it would not be to much to ask to support the business by buying drinks if you intend to use the facalaties .

I agree with the majority of comments. The menu needs an urgent revamp, the staff are generally okay but wouldn't say friendly or welcoming. We did complain on our last visit in July but the manager couldn't understand English which appears strange when the majority of owners are just that. I doubt the 5 star rating would apply anymore given the lack of finish to the whole resort. Is anyone at Calidona bothered though? I strongly doubt it.
