Hi John,
I've also been looking for the same information. Searching from earlier posts in these forums and google, some English language television options are:
TDT (similar to UK Freeview) - these are local Spanish channels, some of which have the English track of American/British TV shows, so probably not the best option.
Cable TV from A2Z Telecomunicaciones - this requires a Cable (DVB-C) set top box ("digibox") which can be purchased from the Polaris Supermarket for 130€ or so, however there are cheaper options elsewhere. If you have or buy a TV with built in DVB-C tuner, you won't need a separate set top box. The monthly costs show up as 0€ per month, but assume this is covered by the community fees.
Not sure what the options are with Satellite TV, and whether there is a community dish or restrictions on putting up your own dish, but would guess this isn't the cheapest or most practical option.
Cheapest internet option - assuming you require this permanently - appears to be the basic 2Mb service from A2Z. The monthly costs show up as 0€ per month, but have read on these forums that 60€ (or thereabouts) is added to your community fees. You will need to purchase a cable modem from A2Z for 77€, which gives you wired internet access. If you want wifi in your apartment, you'll also need to purchase a separate wifi router which then plugs into the cable modem, or you can purchase the cable modem with built in wifi option from A2Z (155€).
Hope this helps,
Tam.
