Can anyone recommend a lock smith for an apartment on Condado and does anyone know the rough price of changing the locks after purchase? Also has anyone had their door altered so that it doesn't lock automatically when you shut it? (Got locked out when daughter slammed door last year!) thank you

You do not need to change locks,the outside handle is not connected to the shaft that goes through the door to the handle on the inside.
You can take the handles off and take the shaft out reverse the shaft ie what is inside put on the outside.You can then open the door from outside.
The other way is to make a new shaft 6mm square by 135mm long with a hack saw cut at each end 25mm deep ,1 end cut vertical the other end horizontal.

Thanks DC, but I am about as useful as a chocolate teapot when it comes to this sort of thing, however hopefully I will find a man that can! I will show him this and hopefully I can be sorted.
