Sierra Nevada Ski Lifts

Does anyone know how long the drive takes to the ski lifts (driving within the speed limits)?

 

From Condado ? about 4 to 5 hours its lovely but very expensive

Yes cheers it is from Condado , we'll have to try it sometime.

Is it the lift passes that are expensive and or equipment hire as we could take our own?

Sorry for being nosey guys and excuse my ignorance but where abouts are you talking about going skiing that's only 4 to 5 hours from Condado? It sounds like a great weekend away - I'm intrigued..........

I spent a couple of days skiing at the Sierra Nevada 2 years ago. It took about 3 hours to drive from CDA, and was well worth the journey. I can't remember the price of the lift pass but I didn't think it was too expensive at the time. There is lots of skiing suitable for all abilities. It is all above the tree line so not quite as scenic as some of resorts in the alps but a great experience to be able to ski so near to CDA.

It's 3.5 hours at most. All signposted. Just follow Grenada
Last year 42/day for ski lift. €1 discount per day if booked for 2 or more days etc. about 22€ per day for ski hire incl boots etc. all you need to bring is saying outfit.
Sometimes left at 6. On the mountain kitted and booted at 9.30. Leaving at 6 home at 10. Back in the sun next day. ESP in April
Rooms look at booking.com. From cheap apartments from€65/night to 4star accommodation hotels
Food reasonable. Drinks at bars 3 to 4€. Which is cheap for ski resort

All in all not bad as far as ski resorts are concerned.

Recommended. Going again end of month
