La Cata Restaurant

We visited La Cata restaurant last night and what a pleasant surprise. I had been there previously last summer but this was much improved.

We went quite early at about 7.30 and there were already about 5 other tables in. The atmosphere was nice with candles and it was warm and inviting.

The service was good and the waiter was very helpful. We ordered and a small free apetiser of paella arrived which was a nice touch. My husband has tomato soup followed by roast chicken and i had melon with ham and a delicious lasagne which was as good as I have ever had and was obviously home made with plenty of meat. We had a jug of Sangria and then we were offered a free shot of Bailey. All for 31 euros.

Slegg - many thanks for giving us an update.  Good to hear that they seem to have got their act together - here's hoping it will continue through the busy months.  We look forward to giving the restaurant another try when we are over in a couple of weeks time.  On the whole we have had mostly good experiences, good food but lousy service so if the service is better we look forward to another good night out there.

I needed to get a take away the other week when I was over for a few days (due to someone stealing the insides of our oven & buttons to control it - it was in the control of the onsite agent   whilst we completed our purchase) but I had a garlic bread pizza & a burger. Very tasty all round and good service, had a cerveza whilst waiting but excellent all in all. Although after the burger can't help galloping around & saying neigh sometimes (only joking as very good flavour)

This was my first visit to them and we will definately be trying again when we return for 2 weeks for Easter.

have heard they have extended kitchen at last!,

Last year was our first year on Condado and of all our visits we found ourselves using the La Cata the most. Good food, service was fine and flexible (we turned up late often and they always served). Can't wait to try again this year.

Reopening Monday 10 Feb, with a Special Valentines menu...newly extended kitchen and additions to menu!!

No sign of French restaurant reopening!,

Heladeria reopens 15 March...

Bulgarian has new chef and less seating so they can cope better...

El Rincon, is a coffee shop selling nice baguettes, where Sweet paradise was....not much of a selection there...but nice staff..believe its owned by one of the guys from STV, not the French restaurant as originally planned/ thought!!

Big Gs, Clover, Condado Club and Bokao are all ready to go!

Paco and Andy ready to sell...as is Rupert!

Spar actually has monthly offers now....not great but i like to think i am getting a bargain!!!

2 little tinkers, if you want to know anything about my shop then please ask me to my face not speculate on a forum full of rumours.  It is not nice nor professional.  I could write a lot on here but wont.  If or when my shop will close is my concern and I am sure you will understand that it will be up to me to post so there is no ' Rumours' or Chinese Whispers leading to false comments.
