Weather and transport questions

Hi,

We are thinking of going to Condado late August bringing our 2 kids, 3 yr old and 1 yr old with us. Never been this time of year before plus travelling abroad with kids but are temperatures very hot that it is unbearable.....are you able to sleep at night with the heat? It's either go now or leave it to next Easter.

Also, what price is taxi roughly from Murcia airport, need one with car seats too? Priced online and 2 car seats on top of car hire is at least 55 euro each....don't know whether to get a car or rely on taxi for a few trips?? Any advice would be great

I was here last year July and August with my 4year old daughter. We had days it was over 45 degrees. It takes us always a few days to get used to the heat. We usually do the daily routine like the Spanish, be out and about till 2pm, go for siesta till 5 and stay up late as it is much cooler in the night time. One summer we used aircon a lot which gave our that time one and a half year old a very bad cold and chest infection. Since then we only use it the fist two or tree days for a few minutes before we go to bed to cool the room a bit down. After this we get quite used to the heat. Summer is very nice here with the weekly market, festivals and plenty of pools to choose from.
Can't give you advise on taxies as we always hire a car. The only thing I can tell you is we have a airport pick up and taxie here on the resort.google for condadoexcursions. Hope that helps.
