Earthquakes

 Hi, I was suprised when surfing the internet today to find our area receives earthquakes on a daily basis, are we covered by the community insurance if a big one came along ?.

 The only local earthquake activity I've heard about was in Lorca a couple of years ago and we've been here since 2010.

Not sure about the Community Insurance as all I've been told is that it covers buildings only, but I've not seen the detailed inclusions and exclusions.

I've taken out my own insurance because I enquired about taking out Reortalia's contents insurance it wasn't much different to what I was paying for full building and contents insurance. I've just checkd my insurance and it does cover earthquakes.

 Cheers Dave can you tell me who you are covered with, The university in Alicante e-mailed me earlier there was a tremor near valencia yesterday and two tremors in the Murcia area only small ones of course, but if you check the internet there is a lot of activity in our part of Spain.

 My insurance was arranged by Gesfin who have an office in the town centre in the Torre Resort. The insurance provider is Axa.
