Nike Golf/IRM Partnership Agreement

Let's hope so. The lakes are making the course a laughing stock. What will they do when they eventually bleed them all dry?

You are right Kevin - embarrassing if you were bringing some mates to play on what they like to promote as one of the best courses in Murcia. I read an earlier post, or may have been on society website that lakes will not be filled until course starts making profit. I would suggest that the course will not make a profit until the proper designed hazards are in place as they should be and visitors feel they have played a track worthy of the Jack signature label and therefore would be keen to pay return visits or pass the word on. We were told that El Valle lakes are still filled (so in profit then ??) but the times I have played there it was no more busy than Condado so can't quite work that one out.
Not had much joy really with the previous management regimes so far, so let's hope Nike can exert a little bit of influence to get a more professional outlook ingrained into the IRM culture.

The 6 courses form one business so if one is making a loss the profit from the other should be used to keep it a float. I am over next week with 4 of my mates and I'll see what they make of the lake situation.

Don't ask you mates about the lakes because there aren't any - just dry craters. I'm going to take some photos and send them to Nicklaus golf. Won't do much good but will make me feel like I've tried something! If they use the lakes to water the course what will they do soon?

They are just going to top up the one lake that is used for irrigation of golf course aparently. Rest will have to wait until one of the parties buckles over the re-negotiation of water supply costs. Having become accustomed to the way of Spain over the last few years, I am not expecting a satisfactory fix anytime soon !

you can live with empty lakes on the 4th, 5th and 13th but my god they should make an effort to fill the lake with the par 3. Very sad hitting over a water hazard with no water.

I tell you what guys, I'm here again just now and NEVER waste my energies complaining like some folk seem to thrive on as in my opinion, Condado is definately coming along in leaps and bounds over this past year with improvements in all of the necessary areas, bar of course that all important golf course.
So on the subject of the IRM Golf Course of which as owners we now have no real say on, personally my lake shots have also improved no end to the point I am actually gaining balls rather than losing them and am trying to fine tune the new art of first differentiating my ball of the hunderd others in the ditch/lake without the need of waders nevermind snorkels.
