Sbadell Cam Expansion Account

Hi

We have been trying to sort out changing our current account over to an Expansion Account which has no fees but just received an email from the bank advising we can only change if we take out their house insurance or put 2000 euro in their investment fund!!!

Anyone esle had such a response?

Nope, but that is not made clear on the website, just that you needed to send e700 p/m into the account, but then its fee free, no quarterly charges or annual card fees. 

Are they trying it on as they did when loads of us complted on mortgages 6 years ago, you must have this and you must have that??? 

When we opened our account in November 2012 we only had to have a transfer in of over 700 euros per month to get the free banking.

Our account is in Puerto de Mazarron.

We will just go down in person to the Puerto Mazarron branch when we are over next week.

I am still saddled with their buildings insurance policy. I have sent them proof of the scheme provided by millenium, but they tell me its not sufficient and I must continue with their insurance.

Has anybody else sucessfully managed to cancel their CAM buildings insurance. If so any tips, I may have another go at cancelling?
