Anybody rent their apartment long term?

Hi,
We have a 2 bed apartment and may be looking at renting it long term later in the Summer? Anyone else rent theirs long term? Did you go through the estate agents on site or how did you find your renters? Any other bits of information I should look about, I' d be grateful to hear about. Thanks.

There are always people looking for long term rentals but the rent at present is about 200-300 Euro incl community fees. So 12 months at 250 is 3000 euro. Rent it out short term in season only...approx 250 per week in July August, maybe 160 per week easter, end of may and couple of other weeks and you are getting approx same money but you and family can use it other weeks.
Renting long term you may get a winderful tenant or you may get someone who trashes the place and leaves you a huge sevices bill of some sort.

Everyone's circumstances is different both as tenants and owners but renting it to holiday makers seems the better option. You may be just as well off financially.

Some really nice people rent and some not so nice have rented in Condado in recent months.
