i have purchased No 28 m5  town house fuente de piedra still have not completed, price of purchase was 102000 euro's what they are now i dont know, i am waiting for my morgage offer once received should know a bit more, if you have any imformation on this development would you please share it

I visited the site at Fuente last week (10 April) and have been visiting regular for the past 2 years. Most of the townhouses are complete and the finishes seem pretty good. A third of the site is still fenced off with contractors working.  Four of the swimming pools are complete the fifth is still fenced off. I am awaiting my NIE number to complete the signing as my property is ready. I have purchased a property in M4. I posted emails on this site before but no one has replied and I'm glad to hear from someome else who has bought as I was beginning the think I was the only one.

I was speaking to a salesman last week on the site and he says the properties start from 142,000 euros up to 180k depending if its detached, townhouse or an end townhouse with land.

I have taken some photos but don't realy know how to download them on the computor.

The link detached don't appear to have garages although the houses are very nice inside with good size rooms and excellent solarium.

we have got the ball rolling so there are other buyers out there ,Tying to get info out of  Palmera is like stiching fog . Does any one know if the proposed airport at Antequera has got the go ahead ?  is this site free from planning nightmares?     regards  steve

The salesman said when asked about the airport that they had not started it but there had been alot of talk about it. he said it might happen in ten years or so. However i did read that they had commenced building somewhere near the Cordoba road. I tend to believe the saleman as he was spanish. Hopefully there should be no planning nightmares as the Flamingo Lake is protected. I can't see planes flying over the lake frightening the flamingos', but you never know!

Hi to all of you who have purchased on Fuente de Piedra Phase 2. I must admit my wife and I are getting a little concerned and are hearing bad things about Palmera, our experience so far is not good, as they just do not seem to be letting anybody know what is going on.

Does anybody know what the builders (Fonslapis S.L) expected dates for completion are. I have a letter from Palmera saying signings this Summer 2007 (What does that mean!) has anybody arranged a mortgage yet, and if so have you a good deal.

My wife and I would like to sell asap, but because of a new law, we cannot sell because it dosn't belong to us yet. We assume this can only be after exchange of title deeds and contracts. Which is not what we were told when we purchased back in March 2005, it was an off plan investment.

 It would be nice to hear any gossip from anybody about this development 4083 we must keep this forum going just in case we need to contact each other for legal reasons.

     I put a deposit on a townhouse 4 years ago on phase 1 and then 1 year later changed to phase 2 however I have seen the price of the house rise by 50%. I could have signed for my property 3 weeks ago but I am still waiting for my NIE number which hasn't come through yet. If you haven't applied for your number my advice is to apply now as it can take up to 3 months. If you need any information on how to apply I can assist.

I too have read the horror stories regarding Palmera and they are quite unsettling however over the years I have telephoned them and called into their office a couple of times and they have kept me up to date. I knew I would be waiting a long time. I also visited the completions department a couple of weeks ago and I found them to be quite helpful. I think Palmera have too much going on and the staff struggle.

All the other houses should be finished soon as they are close to being completed. I am going again next week and will update you when I return.

hi everybody on fuente de piedra phase11 seems the builder has had problems with obtaining morgages with bbva bank has anybody had an offer back ,we have been told that they have now put our morgage offer to the banco andalucia, also has anyboby been confirmed to that the building licences have been received on there property and does anyboby know when the plot stacking document was signed as the builder has 24 months from that date to complete,we are starting to got very frustrated and a bit concerned also does anyboby know what a study morgage is in spain because that is what tyey seem to be applying for.

Hi to everybody on Phase 2,  I may just have some new photos very soon as my brother has visited this weekend. He says all is looking good at Fuente de Piedra. Must admit that I will believe it when I see it.  Our problem is getting information as and when signings are taking place and also if the Builders Mortgage is any good. My brother went to Fuente de Piedra last weekend 5th May. I have uploaded 6 new photo's.

Hope they are OK we are M2& No7 just fighting about NIE number. My wife and I have NIF numbers and Palmera won't accept them, we have had them for 20 Years as we own another property in Alcossebre between Valencia and Peniscola,  also we are investigating a mortgage with Santander Central Hispano who have a UK Office in London 0207 836 5303 speak to Alex he is most helpful .

We also have NIE numbers as we have  a place in mallorca, but our solicitor we used wont give them to us for some stupid reason so we need to get duplicates somehow. I wonder why Palmera wont accept your existing NIE numbers, seems odd. !!  Are they wanting you to apply for new ones? My sister and her husband are buying Fuente with us so they need NIE numbers.Still trying to download an application form without any luck, I think it is my laptop that is playing silly devils. I'll keep trying. My sister didn't realise that you now have to apply in person for your NIE when we got ours our solicitor did it for us.  Wer'e not very organised.

Steve my husband is sorting the mortgage side out, he's away until Thursday,  he'll read your messages when he get back, and look at the photos.

We don't expect our property to be ready until around Sept. is yours ready??

I must admit I really would have liked to sell before we need to complete but you know Palmera..

It would be good to get a list of owners together, we may need to form a community of owners just like the one we have in Alcossebre, this is to look after the communial things like the swimming pool etc etc. I have a list of all our owners in Alcossebre and we meet up twice a year.

Hi Mike,  is your property supposed to be linked via a garage like ours?  I wonder where the garage doors are?? Ours is in block M1 so it can't be that far away from yours.
