Went to Le torque last night had the set menu

It's a pound shop serving food, rubbish

If condado so called restaurants don't up there game, I couldn't care less if they shut

Big G and condado club not included they are both great

Boka also good when they get around to serving

On our last visit to CDA went to Le Troquet for the first time and both the the food and service were of a high quality, although we ate of the normal menu not he menu of the day.

I also believe that the should upgrade the Al Kazar in general... it does look a bit down, with furtniture, food, market, office all at the same place with no proper organization when it comes to what and where can be exposed outside their shops...

it reminds me of streets markets in India and Marrocos... whcih by the way are really good, but on their own place... :)

Maybe you were just unlucky!  We had the menu del noche on Wednesday night & it was fabulous!

I'm sick to death of people slagging off the services in al Kasar, so you have a bad experience, live with it and move on.

not everybody favours burgers but we don't go slating them, and to say you don't care if they shut well, don't go, stay at home and keep ya mouth shut !

Is it not time we stopped posting what happened last night at dinner,  had a good meal had a bad meal, great waiter, bad waiter, tall small, he had bwown eyes or were they green. he never asked me if I was having a nice time, wont be his friend.

Was at le Troquet during my last visit a couple of weeks back and the food was absoloutly fine. But there again, our tastes go beyond beefburger, egg & chips !!

We have also had menu de la noche I had the hake with mustard sauce and my husband had burger and chips both were delicious. Burgers best on site and he's tried them all!

Whilst out towards the end of May we made a decision to try all of the restaurants on site, after suffering a couple of bad meals/service in previous years.

All of the restaurants were fabulous! The best value for money was the Menu Del Dia at Le Troquet which they allowed us to have in the evening, but I understand they now have Menu del Noche, however not much difference in price. Food and service was great.

We were extremely pleased with La Cata as this was our least favourite after our experience last year, but they've really pulled it around with excellent food, and more important after last year's fiasco wonderful service!

Big G's always great, as was Condado Club. Also enjoyed a lovely meal at Sofias (Bulgarian)

The only one we didn't get around to was Bokao, but understand from friends that their cocktails are to die for, so that's on our list for when we come out in September.

 I don't think it's right to suggest no-one should discuss poor experiences here.  If a restaurant is prone being inconsistent then it is helpful to know.

For example, we had a fine menu del dia at Le Troquet at lunchtime a couple of weeks ago, then people we know said the evening meals that same day were awful .  It wasn't just them, a lot of others were complaining. Badly cooked, or not cooked at all.  Eg raw chicken being served. Apparently the chef wasn't there in the evening for whatever reason.  Nothing wrong with putting that in the public domain?

Went to benidom last night had a lovely kebab good value and the waiter kissed me on both cheeks 

Then I flew to hartlepool for indian very disappointed as this was the local cuisine

(Man v food but on this occasion man lost )

Tonight off to Big G ribs and Guinness 150 euro a can can't wait

I will keep you all updated with more food reviews

If you receive good food and service then people have a right to comment and like wise if the food and service isn't up to scratch then let them comment also.

I prefer to eat in, but always nice to hear reviews good or bad....is tht not what the forum is for??? 

i love the condado club, staff are so friendly, food always of high standard and consistent, great for kids and beers and brandy always god!!! One for the ditch !!! Feelin gr8 !!! 

You must have went to the wrong Indian in the better part of town then Barri. We have plenty of 'pound shop style cafe's' which might be more suited to your tastes . Keep up the good work with your well informed reviews.

Just a quick update

Big Gs outstanding ribs and 10 pints of Guinness

Also while over the condado club renewing my gym membership

Had the full English once again great food Paul and his staff put the family into condado

Forgot to say while I was in Hartlepool with my mate Jeff sterling we overheard

A couple taking about how to cut there elect bill down  and the  girl in the pound shop

Told them buy smaller candles  

Bingo tonight then off to the Chinese all day menu 5.95 euro

Guess we need the money Barri to spend on some of the better quality food in all of the restaurants . Unlike yourself, I do care if the businesses in Condado go to the wall.

Oh, and it is Stelling by the way.

I think the good hard working people on condado deserve that 

We get ripped off enough  

And it's only my opinion in a light harted way so don't take offence

But anyway back in Hartlepool I stayed in a very

 Up market bed and breakfast the landlady said all our rooms are en suite

But when I got to the room nothing so I asked her were it was she replied

The bath is on the wall and the toilet is under the bed

Barri, you digress somewhat. I think you should start a new thread titled something like 'Barri's culinary adventues in Hartlepool'.

But anyway...................no offence taken whatsoever . We come from the 'grim north' up here you know and have really thick skins when it comes to the usual jokes about our fine little town (although I don't always get yours). I personally, like to engage in a bit of friendly banter on this forum but like to see well balanced, constructive views. Enjoy your time at Condado when you are there and appreciate what we have on site compared to a few years ago..................we are much more fortunate than some others.
