Leakage Into Downstairs Apartment

We have been informed  by Milleniun that water is leaking from our apartment, into the lounge of the aprtment below us.  We had this problem last year and put a step at the front door to stop water coming in. 

Milleniun now state their engineers have identified that water is leaking in through from the front terrace and the terrace steps, and this needs to be resealed.  I have asked but had no reply as to whether anyone else has had this problem and what the solution was.

  Due to the poor workmanship of Polaris World, water does pool on 3 of our roof terrace steps and on the front terrace which sometimes take days to clear. We  would like to have the steps and terrace re sealed and tiled to a professional standard, with a pvc drain running from the terrace to avoid pooling.

Has anyone had this problem, and can anyone recommend someone to do the work?

Before you pay for any work doing just check with Mileniun if you are covered for this under the insurance that is included in our community fees, ask your president if they can also help with this.

Bee, Milleniun say it's not covered under the insurance. I wonder how many times they will pull that one out of the bag when claims go in.

We had a leak under the toilet & the whole thing had to be moved in order to fix it. I reported it to millenum when we were over 2 weeks ago & I was advised it might come under the insurance. If it did then I dont know as we ended up paying about 35 Euro but that was just for the replacement pipe. Ham was happy with that as it would have cost a lot more here in the UK

When we bough our apartment in Jardin 5 there was pooling on the terrace ouside the door but we used a company to do a thoughrough check & it was highlighted in their list. This was rectified before we moved in. Since then some of the tiles have sunk slightly but we have not been able to have them re positioned though Millenium did sort out the broken tiles on the stairs for us last year & it did not cost us anything.

My advice is to try again. Go in cool & calm, who knows you may get someone to change their minds, though I do think it is down to who you get to speak to

35 Euros sounds like a result Hamibabe. In our case its a question of who you e mail as opposed to talk to.  We would prefer to take a hit and pay someone to get it done right once and for all.
