mortgage redemption

Happy new year

Does anyone know if we were to redeem our existing mortgage with the banco popular with our own funds would we need to appoint a solicitor As in the UK so as to remove their title from the property? or is this done automatically by the bank? trying to get a reply to even the most basic of questions from this bank is near on impossible at the best of times.

We redeemed our mortgage with Banco Popular.  Very easy process.  Transferred funds to our current account then made an appointment at our branch. Laura in Cabo Roig branch spoke perfect English and was very helpful.  We signed a few forms, paid a fee to get our deeds back and bank removed.  They took a couple of weeks to come through.
