We rented with them for about 4 years with the number of clients increasing each year. However we cancelled our contract this year which ends April 2016.
You do have to notify them about 14 months prior to ending your contract to prevent them printing your details onto their brochure. for the following year
Do not leave it until the last minute as we did last year because its to late & they want a lot of money to take you off their system
Clients pay quite a lot to Novasol but you as an owner only get a small portion of it
Our main clients have all been from the Sandinavian countries & most have treated our apartment well
We have had breakages though & some quite costly. You needa good property manager who will double check everything afterwards or you cannot get your costs back because you do not have any idea who did the damage.
I know from speaking to ther people who rent out that beds are the main issue & I have to agree.
Would I recommend going with them?
If you want a hastle free renting system then Yes go ahead. Try for 12 months & look at the costs. Then think about the long term.
We are not going to rent out again from May 2016 except for friends & family.
You do need aircon & WIFI. if you have them already then OK. You will probably have a property management team. But consider the cost of their packages if it means they will be working for you for more times than usual. We use Sparkle Clean & have been happy with all that Craig gives us for our money. If its a quick cliennt change over day then you need two sets of all bedding & towels though some Scandinavians do take their own but you cant leave things to chance, We had a meter instaled for electricity a few years ago so that`s another additional cost though well worth it. We realised people who could not see how much they were using or how much it was costing often left the aircon all day or left it on timed even when they were out which left us with hefty electricity bills.
Have we made any money out of renting. No.
We did not get many clients in the first few years and our previous property manager did not notice breakages that had to be replaced by us & some were not a few Euro`s. The electricty usage was also an issue until we had the meter.
If we knew then what we know know now & had the right people & instilations in place it might be a different story.
Hope this helps
Jan
