Hi
In al lof the years we have holidayed on Condado we have never needed to either use plug ins or any other type of repelant against mozzies but just had an email from a friend saying she has had a notification from ML advising about mosquitos due to high temperatures. As I have not received anything i wondered if anyone else had. Do I need to buy some repelent or is it that ML are just advising "Just in case".
I am over with friends next week & need to be prepared
Thanks
Jan

Hi Jameson, I can assure you that La Isla have lots of tiger mossier at present. ML are aware, STV are spraying regularly but it was STV who told me what they were. There is a photo of one on Facebook, Preguntas y Mas page as one of the La Isla full time residents was asking what they were. Bloque 7 is a scene of carnage with all the dead ones lying on the floor...have added photo of your 'fruit fly' to community photos..make up your own mind!

I was told they were fruit flies but having googled it they certainly look more like mossie' s. I' m just baffled as I haven't been bitten and my neighbours on block 10 haven't been either and there are so many of them. Usually mossie' s like me! Also in the 6 years I have been here I have never seen these flies. They don't fly around much just stick to ceiling and above patio doors and front door. As long as they don't bite I can tolerate them and have bought a spray!

i don't know anyone who has been bitten..they are indeed strange little things! I believed tiger mossies were aggressive but these don't seem to have any purpose...very strange indeed...perhaps they are vegetarian, lol,
