Hi Everyone
Was on google and came across the message board. It's nice to be able to speak to other people that are in the same position as us and a lot of the concerns already raised we share. We are in block 1 and have just returned from a week's holiday (14/4-21/4). We are too concerned that the large pool will not turn out to be any where near the advertised size (1300 sq meters inc small pool??) and we are not convinced that the Laguna will be cleaned (was told this by Ian at P&D).
The biggest gripe that we have got is the quality of the finish inside the apartment. We have waited a year for a couple of items to get sorted, cracks in cupboards, damaged wardrobes but the biggest issue we have is the quality of the tiling and grouting throughout the apartment. I have spoken to a couple of people in phase 1 and they too were unimpressed with the tiling. I understand that the finish in phase 2 has been a lot better due to the change of builders. We have cleaned and cleaned to try and improve things (removed rust marks, lumps of plaster etc) but I think the only long-term solution will be to get the apartment re-grouted. I am loathe to do as when you buy a new apartment, you expect it to look and feel brand new. The grouting in the main bathroom is very dirty and resembles a bathroom which is a good few years old?
Is there anyone that has experienced this problem and had any luck in resolving. I think ultimately we will just have to live with it but it is disappointing
On a positive note we had a good holiday, ventured out to Almeria City and went to the castle (amazed that this was free entry) and ambled around the old town. The marina was starting to get busier but I think strong winds kept people in. We had a few good weather days and on the 17/4 it even reached 27 degrees
