This is excellent news and probably money well spent for the benefit of the community.  News received today

from Resortalia today:

'Dear Owner,

We are pleased to inform you that the sport facilities have been reopened today!

Along this week the use of these facilities will be restricted to the sport competitions of the RODA GOLF FIESTAS 2015 but from Monday the 17th they will be available for the use of all residents in the Resort, providing their fees are up to date.

The facilities must be reserved one day in advance and you can make reservation at the Security hut in the secondary access from 8:00 till 22:00 h or phoning 673 007 219.

Kind regards,

Resortalia'

Sorry - this is another "free" facility that the entidad have paid for to put into a safe condition.

i.e. we as owners will have to foot the bill for a few people who play padel or us ethe tennis courts.

Sorry - not money well spent imo

I believe all additional facilities and lures for tourists and locals will have an overall positive impact On the local economy And therefore property value. When we all initially bought we were promised so much more so a few little extras have to be a good sign. If we had what we were promised we'd be paying a whole lot more.

We only bought on Roda because of the tennis facilities promised.  We don't play golf but we do play a lot of tennis and always use the tennis courts and the padel tennis courts when we are there.  I am happy to pay every time we use a court.  I don't expect it to be free.  I believe it is an excellent facility for Roda to have as we are a 'Resort' after all and not just a golf course or an urbanisation.  We didn't get most of what we were promised so we were very disappointed when the sports facilities closed.  It was just another thing taken away from us.

Quite so !

Never fussed about the beach club and quietly relieved that the large outdoor swimming pool fizzled out, but the tennis/padel/5 - a side are an asset and an important social asset as well for children. Proximity to the bar and the family size G &T's are an added bonus.

There are a number of places to play tennis in the locality but an on site venue is important and it is vital that residents use both.
