We are chasing the post office again.  We have done everything we needed to and all the properties have now been renumbered but the central office in Estepona have to send someone round the give the OK....we're still waiting for him to turn up.

Water....will take longer, it's down to Promobarna not paying their bill.  Until they do we won't be switched over.  It's a long story....

Notices went up today that you can now apply for a phone line from Telefonica.  All work was completed last week.  However, this does not include the townhouses as there is an issue with the cabling which telefonica are looking into.

Tomorrow the lift technicians will begin to activate the lifts.  It may take a few days as they have to re-grease them and give them a thorough overhaul as they've not been used for so long.

Notices will also be going up this week regarding the new garage doors.  We will need to pay around 210 Euros each to get these fitted. 

Also, anyone with an illegal satellite dish will also be receiving  a letter in the next few days....

We're also just ordering the umbrellas and loungers for the pool area.  They're not cheap but we need them!

That all sounds like great news, especially the lifts, hurrah!  Sun loungers etc is a great idea and will make the pool area much more inviting.  What paperwork do you need to apply for a telephone? Is that also payable monthly on direct debit like the electricity?

Lift technicians arrived on site today...hooray!  I asked them to start at portal 4 as there is a couple there with a baby in the atico and they've been desperate for the lift!  Should take a few days to get them all going.

Francine, to apply for a phone line you will need to do it when you're here.  You need to ring 1004 and say "ENGLISH" so that you get an english speaking operator.  You just need your address and bank account number and that's it.

Things are happening slowly here as we only have a maintenance budget.  There is no provision for any "extras" so Miguel is having to do most things himself, so everything take a while to do.  We will need to increase the budget for next year if we really want to sort this place out, it's impossible to get everything done on a shoestring.

Thanks for that and for everything you've done.  I for one wouldn't mind a moderate increase in our community charge if it meant we got things done and NM has really good standards.

Lifts in blocks 1 - 4 are up and running now.

5,6,7 and the block at the back will be done tomorrow.

Tried out the lift...it's great!  Can't belive one can go so excited about a lift.

Well I must be sadder than you because I'm in Leeds and I'm excited about the lifts in Spain working!!!

Just got back home to UK after 2 weeks in Manilva.

Yes, lifts are working, well done Justin!!

As we have an Atico we can get out more often and also

have had visitors!

Everywhere looks  good !!
