Iberdrola standing charges.

Can anyone tell me what the standing charges should be now for a 3 bed apartment that is not occupied and therefore should not be using any electricity as long as we are switched off at the mains box. Reason I ask is that our last 3 bi-monthly bills have been around the 75 euros mark. This is approx double what we were paying not so long ago.

Depending on your Electricity  Potencia,your standing charge is the same whether your Apartment is used or empty at the time. The higher the Potencia,the higher your standing charge will be. Hope this clarifies this matter.

We have just had 89.14 deducted from our account - so it seems that 75 isnt enough for them anymore.. they just pick a number and add a  bit on !

So much for this 'living the dream' nonsense eh! There is so much out of your control and reading other people's stories about horrendous utility bills being debited from their accounts you are just left thinking are you the next one to have your own account emptied. 😡Oh to be able to turn the clock back - I wouldn't touch Spain with a barge pole.
