All advice/tips appreciated..new owner La Torre golf resort...

Hi

We have just bought a 2 bed apartment, keys available from end of May...all in the hands of the solicitor to finalise everything....

We will be needing to get rid of some furniture left in the property but not to our taste...any ideas on how to get rid? ...charity shop to collect??

We will also be needing to purchase fride/freezer, bed, TV etc...but cant seem to find anywhere who we can buy online and get delivered to La Torre....any suggestions? are there any problems getting deliveries through the security gate?

At some point we may need to use the services of a key holder/cleaner...does anyone have any recommendations?

Once sorted, we will hold an open 'apartment' and hopefully get to meet everyone....

Congratulations, it's exciting times!! We completed in January on a  2 bed ( Limonar , Calle Mero ) and have loved every minute. I was quite fortunate in that the apt was furnished to my taste ( no dark wood in sight ) so it was literally key-ready for us.

Once you become an owner you will get access to an owners forum which is very active & helpful, so I am sure they will be able to point you in the right direction regarding furniture & white goods. The same with keyholder recommendations.

I ordered some patio furniture to be delivered and that was allowed through the gates without a problem. Good luck with the paperwork, it took us longer than we thought  ( 5 months start to finish and we were cash buyers! ) so I needed to be patient which is not one of my qualities! But worth it in the end....see you in Pinos!

Galgos del Sol (Spanish hunting dog charity) have a large charity shop in San Javier.  They are always looking for furniture and have a van in which they can collect.  Once you have moved in, perhaps pay them a visit and see if you can arrange for them to collect your unwanted items.
