Consortium insurance

Has anyone affected by the flooding been contacting by the Consortium.

I believe all the Flood damage emailed updates to all Roda Owners has noted this advice re your own storeroom and its contents even though many Communities are funding the  cleaning of storerooms and removal of damaged goods on behalf of owners.

Personal insurers must be advised and notified before removal of contents.

Hi all.  We're in a villa but our pool was contaminated and all of the electircal bits ruined.  I contacted our insurers who eventually referred me to the Consortium and we got a surprisingly quick visit from an inspector and a subsequent request to provide details such as NIE, confirmation of insurance etc.  Anyway, to cut a long story short, we've just recd payment that is around 90% of the cost of the repairs so all in all, very happy.  Mike

I too have nothing but praise for Jennifer Cunningham insurance brokers and the consortium. Once JCs submitted my claim for me it was all sorted and paid out within 4 weeks. Remarkably, the consortium valued my damaged property far higher than I had and then paid me the higher amount! So, whilst it was a good outcome for me, I do feel for those whose experience is less pleasing. Richard
