Can anybody please help??
I have had a long standing problem with my electric bills.
I have been an owner from the beginning, have a penthouse in block 11. My electrical bills have been all over the place from when we first took ownership, but to give you an example, my last 2 month bill was for 249euro, and the 2 month period prior to that was for 260euro. The problem I have is that for this 4 month period, the apartment has been unoccupied and the electric switched off at the mains!!
I have been trying to resolve this with Iberdrola for several years now and dont seem to be getting anywhere. I have also heard that there have been cases of crossed meters on the site? Can anyone confirm this?
Any help, feedback would be greatly appreciated as this is really starting to have an effect on our "little place in the sun".

i just had my bill in for the last three months and we were there for a weekend and it was £60 euros there is a English electrician who does work on the complex get him to have a look and do a report.

I am also in a penthouse Block 1. My bi-monthly bills for UNoccupied time are 65 euro 32.50 euro (standing charge I assume) per month.

I have just had an email and my bill for 2 months is €412!!! The apartment is unoccupied.
I am completely at a loss as to what to do about this now. My solicitior is involved but has indicated that Iberdrola think everything is fine to the meter. The problem, which they cant understand, is the feed running into my apartment is not connected to said meter.
I have tried the Andy the electrician recommended in the reply, he said cross meters is a common problem on Condado but he cannot help. So can anybody,recommend anyone that maybe able to help me finally rectify this problem?

Is this your first bill in a newly purchased property, if yes is the additional charge, the charge to initally install the meter, which come into the first bill
Have you had any previous bills at a normal level, if the meter was crossed connected all bills would be more

We had to get Iberdrola to come and do a meter audit where the most basic check is very simple which was to turn off ALL of the power in the property and check check the meter to see if there was any consumption, these meters show of power is being used, if it is when everything is off, then you can prove a fault
This check cam be done by anybody immediately but you will need a key to access the meter cupboard which are normally locked, most property managers will have keys
This is a good place to start but I am sure how your lawyers can say there isn't a problem without an audit
Do you turn off the power at the main supply box when you are not there or do you leave a fridge running

Ron, get your level 3 president involved and now the new admin are in place see if the guys at Admiburgos are able to help you, we are penthouse owners and resident also, your bills are over double ours !
