Costa Luz success and return of money

Hi to everyone involved in the 'battle of the banks and developers, whoever you are and whatever stage your at.

I think it's important to share information about the progress of the court battles, where we are trying to get the return of money from the banks, after investing in property development (all those years ago).

I would like to let you all know that thanks to the efforts of Costa-Luz lawyers and their ability to fight our case against San Jose, the bank (and to put up with me from time to time), they have finally had the winning result we hoped for.

We have had the return of both deposit and interest today into our international account and look forward to the return of the cost of the action (we were awarded costs also, thank you) in accordance with the time and amounts specified through the court.

A really hertfelt thank you to the good people at Costa-Luz, Keith, Maria(s) and the team, a very merry christmas to all of you and keep up the good work!  A good bottle of wine will be in the international post for your two offices as soon as the Christmas post has settled down.

Can I ask what date was your interest backdated to according to the judicial ruling and did you have to appeal for additional interest in that process?

The principle and costs were both awarded at the first instance court, and the interest backdated to the time of payment.

I'm not clear aboiut how and when costs are returned but I will ask in the new year about that.  I'm informed it will be a determination of the judge based on the legal costs of the current system, and will be claimed in the coming months.  Can't be any more specific right now, but compared to some cases we have read about on here, ours has been relatively straightforward.
