And has the next stage payment hit your bank?  Not expecting a positive response, but it would help as I have decided to go over for the Epithany celebrations so may just pop in!

Hi

Well no surprise to inform you that the builder has not released any monies to anyone yet and probably has no intention of doing so, seems to be quite willing to go to Court on this.

We have heard through the grapevine that licenes in the area will start to go through in January, however, have no clarification on this.  Any further information you might glean on your potential visit would be good to know.

Have a good trip.

Hi

After advice from our solicitor to sign the property back to the developer, we agreed a new contract of a 3 stage repayment of all money paid.

1st payment was paid on signing of contracts

2nd payment was paid 2 months later & final one 2 months after that.

We have so far, received 2 of the 3 agreed payments, last one due this month!

Good luck to everyone else

Terrible news about Villa in Vera demolished after 4.5 years?? is any property safe???

Bye for now

Jill

Jill, I am so pleased for you both.  That is a huge success.

Did you make an agreement where they repaid ALL the monies handed over so far, or are they deducting the 'commission' payments.  That is really good news for you personally but hopefully bodes well for the rest of us.

What number property where you originally contracted to buy?

Yes re the Vera and perhaps any local properties.  I really don't understand these retrospective decisions.  I thought signed paper was signed paper . . .

We have been informed that the licence has now been issued and we are being asked to sign before the end of Feb. Our solicitor who has been  looking into getting our monies back has now informed us that the builder is in a much stronger position and suggests looking for compensation. Anybody else in the same position?
