Has anyone been to DV recently and noticed whether there is still garbage lying around outside of the (locked!?) basuras at the entrance and also cardboard packaging outside of several blocks?
It was a real problem when we left a couple of weeks ago.

I have just posted some pictures of the Rubbish people are leaving out side some of the Blocks. Some of it appears to be when people are moving in and just leaving all the cardboard outside and the rest is being left by owners/renters. AEA have now put a note in some of the lifts identifying were rubbish should be left, unfortunately people on the ground floor will not see these.
We went round and removed the general rubbish our selves several times and someone else removed all the cardboard. I will be putting a notice up in our apartment stressing that anyone staying there must only leave rubbish in the Bins and not on the side of the road.
I was really disgusted with the way it looked.

Carleen...just seen your pictures and I agree it is unacceptable. I have never seen it myself but as more and more move in this is more likely to happen. I think AEA need to ensure that everybody is told what to do with rubbish...you would think that people would have the sense to move it...

If you log onto your accounts with AEA and go to the community notices there is a map showing that there are only two lots of basuras for the whole development.
The basuras they have provided are going to be totally inadequate for the number of apartments that RYF have built, and in any case are far too small for packing materials etc.
As RYF are likely to say that this is a problem of the community I feel that representation must be made to them now whilst they are still building as I see no reason why the costs of providing an adequate number of basuras should fall on the community.

Is there a site map of Dequesa Village posted anywhere on the net that we can leave in our appartment to illustrate where the bins can be found (and other purposes)?

I totally agree Michael. I didn't even find the basuras by the pool until just before we left as we are in phase 2 and not nearby them. I was most annoyed to find the others locked as they are convenient to drop stuff as you drive past. The ones by the pools are not convenient as they are at the bottom of a steep hill so one would have to drive down there and back with heavy rubbish. Is there a local recycling place where we should take packaging. We left ours in another communities' recycling skips!

If you go to the bulletin board section of your AEA account you will see a map showing the location of the two lots of basuras

It would be good to have an AEA account. I've emailed them three times since I bought my apartment asking about this.
They just ignore every email - even when I translate them in to Spanish.
How did you get notified about your Account Michael?

Have you tried emailing the Duquesa office puertoduquesa@aea-administracion.com or have you been emailing their main office.
It took me two or three attempts to get an initial entry code and password, and then another couple of attempts to get one which worked. One in you need to change code and password.
Have tried to copy the PDF file with the map showing the location of the basuras, but it won't copy from their site.
One lot of basuras (unlocked) is on the road at the bottom of the very large pools by blocks 1 & 2 and the other basuras (locked/unlocked ??) iare on the bend by the roundabout at the top of the road leading into the main part of the development.

On the subject of AEA - when we were out in Spain in June, the only person at AEA who we could get any sense out of was Melissa when we phoned . I have to say she was great but as soon as she went off shift the other two obstructive (to put it very politely) ladies returned...

I emailed the AEA office and this time I got a reply which was in Spanish. I used a web page to translate and the transaltion reads as follows:
"We informed to him that due to a computer science problem, we have had problems to locate its access code to the Web of its Community. We are trying to solve it as rapidly as possible, reason why in the next days, we will be made it arrive by email. We requested excuses the disadvantage, kindly"
So maybe in a few days we will get emails with our access details?
The translation is amusing. I don't do Spanish so I use web translators a lot to translate from English to Spanish.
Hopefully what I send our in translated Spanish does not look as silly as the aboce when translated to English.

I've always dealt with Melissa and, most of the time, get responses from her. Although there was a spate of email not received by her, when they apparently had some problem with their email, but she gave me another hotmail, I think, address (which I can't find now!!).
Anyway, her email is: melisa@aea-administracion.com (just in case it has not been posted anywhere else).

Sorry, I just read Paul's post below and rolled up!!
Paul, you have to be certain that anything you translate into Spanish from English, using that particular software/website, has to be just as amusing!! How funny is that!?!
I must say, I've always communicated in English with AEA and, save for the odd problem, have always received an understandable english response! Not perfect grammar, but then one thousand times better than my Spanish!! Save for if you want to order a "taxi"!!!!! (Caroline knows about that scenario!!)
