Hi new member-Polaris World

I know I probably have it easy here in London with a bus coming very 10 minutes or so, and as on holiday last week didnt mind being more in the Spanish frame of mind and waiting for a while, but I think an hour and half is a bit much - especially when the driver finally arrived he was full up so carried on driving

Again I just wonder if there is any other public transport options - I know next time I am over I will get a car, but bit of a shame if you want to leave the car behind or go for a drink - a taxi is no the cheapest thing in the world either

Hi ,not sure were you caught the bus or where it went to but when I was out a couple of weeks ago I spoke to a woman in the show house at Dream hills re buses. She said that at the moment there aren't any buses particularly near Dream Hills but once the building has finished the Town Hall will give permission for the road at the top (which at the moment is a deadend) will be extended to meet the San Miguel road (which runs down near the new hospital) and a new bus service will be introduced.

 Not sure how reliable this is but maybe others have more info.

Excellent thanks lynne and terry good to hear about that hopefully that will happen quiet quickly I take it that one for san miguel will go inland then Do you mean where the turn around is - is that turnaround all gonna open up when the conplex is finished The only bus we tried to get was a main one that runs on n332 between cartagena and alicante We did notice a local bus that went round rocio del mar near punta prima beach and the bus stop was off the main rd so maybe they all connect and are more regular Where abouts is your place r u nearly in Thanks Saznaz

Yes I mean where the turnaround is. I didn't think of it going inland I just thought of it to get into Torrevieja town centre. At the moment when I go out I stay with friends who are about 40 minutes walk away but the bus I get then is the E or the F which both go into torre centre although its a bit of a walk to get to the bus stop from Dream hills.

We are moving into no. 77. It's not finished yet hopefully by December, more realistically next Feb. It will be our holiday home for the time being.

thanks very much for letting us know, we saw a local bus D that was near the rocio del mar, that seemed more frequent that the alicante buses, every 1/2 hour, so i suppose if you work it out the connections you can probably get there quiet quick and not wait long
