Hello all!

I'm sure after such a lengthy delay we will all be glad to finally move in to our appartments here- Who's up for a Residents Barbecue to get to meet and greet?

Hi Lloydo,

We think that is a great idea. We are looking forward to spending many a long hour by the pool bar. Do you know if or who will be running the bar?

I suppose the first chance we will all get to meet is at the first residents meeting, do you know when this might be? Infact do you know when we will be moving in?

Look forward to meeting you.

The Kingies

BBQ sound good, we are waiting for the letter to go and sign, then furnish the aprt etc.

If anyone finds out when the community will be set up pls lets us all know, maybe we can then make an effort to be there. H&B

Unfortunately I know nothing! However I am sure we would all like to see a committee established ASAP in order to solve teething problems with the properties.

Do we have any fluent spanish speakers here? That would make things easier! + Does anyone know when the first day exchanges are allowed is?

Hi everyone

As far as I am aware no-one has signed yet - although I did see some furniture being taken in on Tuesday of last week ( I was told that this was a special favour for someone who had no place to store it)

Regarding the community of owners - If phase 2 follows a similar path as phase 1 - this may not be set up until about 3 or 4 months after signings.

It is worth bearing in mind a couple of things regarding choice of administrator.

Not having Spanish speaking committe members should not prove a big issue - as long as the administrator & staff speak English.

(The complex where I live has a non Spanish speaking president - but all staff in the Administrators office speak fluent English).

It would be fairly normal procedure to use the same administrator in various phases in a complex - BUT !!!!!

- from what I saw of the representatives of phase 1 administrators - they do not speak much English. This may be because the majority of owners in Augusta & St Andrews are in fact Spanish.

In other words - if there is not going to be a fluent Spanish speaking community president - I would say it was imperative to look around for another administrator.

As and when there are enough owners out here at the same time - it would be a really nice chance to meet up & have a natter - maybe barbeque on the picnic area next to Hacienda ( it has a bar!!!)

Regarding the community area in the centre of the complex - usage of this will not be decided until the owners committee has been formed.

Re gymnasium - this was to have been a private venture - not owned or run by Evemarina.

I am not sure if it will proceed.

Regardless of who has bought the commercial units - their purpose has to be given permission by the town hall.

For example - you could not have 4 hairdressers or 3 banks in there.

Unless things have changed - there should be a real estate company, mini supermarket, a bank, a chinese restaurant, hairdresser, a spanish restaurant a vet & chiropodist

Look forward to seeing some of you soon.

By the way - still 25º and wall to wall sunshine!!

Kind Regards

Jean

Count me in - the reason I bought at La Hacienda was because it was in a large complex and I'm hoping for a holiday type atmosphere with lots of social gatherings throughout the year

The Residents Barbeque is a excellant way to start and hopefully a opportunity to meet like minded people

I have actually barbequed in the area next to La Hacienda when I holidayed in the area in August of this year. PLEASE BEWARE THE COMPETITION IS TOUGH - I turned up with the usual sausages burgers kebabs salad beer wine etc not bad I thought- the local Spanish partisipants turned up on mass with twin decks light show and yes their own bouncy castle with portable generator !!!!!

Joking apart the area, although basic, could become a real social meeting point and the prices in the bar are very attractive  €2.0 a pint     €3.0 a double/trebble .

Lets get this show on the road
