Hi everyone
As far as I am aware no-one has signed yet - although I did see some furniture being taken in on Tuesday of last week ( I was told that this was a special favour for someone who had no place to store it)
Regarding the community of owners - If phase 2 follows a similar path as phase 1 - this may not be set up until about 3 or 4 months after signings.
It is worth bearing in mind a couple of things regarding choice of administrator.
Not having Spanish speaking committe members should not prove a big issue - as long as the administrator & staff speak English.
(The complex where I live has a non Spanish speaking president - but all staff in the Administrators office speak fluent English).
It would be fairly normal procedure to use the same administrator in various phases in a complex - BUT !!!!!
- from what I saw of the representatives of phase 1 administrators - they do not speak much English. This may be because the majority of owners in Augusta & St Andrews are in fact Spanish.
In other words - if there is not going to be a fluent Spanish speaking community president - I would say it was imperative to look around for another administrator.
As and when there are enough owners out here at the same time - it would be a really nice chance to meet up & have a natter - maybe barbeque on the picnic area next to Hacienda ( it has a bar!!!)
Regarding the community area in the centre of the complex - usage of this will not be decided until the owners committee has been formed.
Re gymnasium - this was to have been a private venture - not owned or run by Evemarina.
I am not sure if it will proceed.
Regardless of who has bought the commercial units - their purpose has to be given permission by the town hall.
For example - you could not have 4 hairdressers or 3 banks in there.
Unless things have changed - there should be a real estate company, mini supermarket, a bank, a chinese restaurant, hairdresser, a spanish restaurant a vet & chiropodist
Look forward to seeing some of you soon.
By the way - still 25º and wall to wall sunshine!!
Kind Regards
Jean
