solicitor

Hi all just found this forum,we too have bought an appartment in vegamar.

we are now looking for a solicitor we bought our appartment with iberian international when we rung the solicitors they reccomended they told us they charge 4% of the purchase price in fees i have seen some solicitors web sites saying they charge 1% .

I was hoping someone could recommend a solicitor as we should be completing soon as our appartment is in escalera 4

Hi Dan, and Alex,

we  too only found this site last week, we live on Vegamar 1 in escalera 1, We have lived here permanently since september.  In answer to some of your questions, the site is not totally finished yet, the road is yet to be done, and odd builders are still about, we have been told the site is to be fully completed in february.

Re solicitor, we used an independent solicitor, SGS International Services, Stuart, we were more than pleased, he took us to do our NIE number, mortgage, open a bank account, and did our Wills, the charge was 1750.00, and obviously the land charges which are the same for everyone (like our stamp duty), several people here we know used Atlas own solicitor, and it seems they charged between 3-4000 euros, so we were more than happy. Stuart is English, but lives in Spain and speaks like a native (we thought he was Spanish). If you want more details if you email me i will get his numbers out.

Weather here is still nice, sunny and warm during the day, drops quite quickly at night, but very windy too at the moment.
