I have just received reply ref a date change from Rosa Martinez of the Housing Comunidades S.L.
By law they only have to give 15days notice of a meeting. She tells me nobody has complained about the date so the meeting will go ahead on the 19th as planned.
In future she said consideration would be given to school holidays when arranging dates.
What i think we need to do is somehow find an owner who is going to the meeting so we can cast our votes and grieviances.

Either that or we all email them to complain about date. There was no email address on letter or tel number so you would have had to complain in writing which would have taken most of the 15 days notice period.
I have spoken to other owners and can find no one who is able to attend on the 19th.
It is imperative we find a proxy as we will have to complete and send the forms back asap.
Do you have a contact email for them and do you think it worth us trying to complain?

For a comparison I have a friend with 3 bed penthouse with garage and store in Mar de Cristal, Los Belones and his fees are 750 euros per annum, his apartment is one of the larger ones on site. afraid I do not have a break down of the costs but would imagine a very similar set up to Roda.

I have also sent an E mail of complaint stating the obvious regarding more people being able to attend over the school hols and if given more notice.
The more they are bombarded with complaints the better it may just get us somewhere.
Not sure of the procedure but does anybody know if there will be one of these meetings every 1/4 or will what is decided at this one last for the full year ?

I have also sent email in the same vain and I have tried to change my schedule to see if I could get over but when I checked the flights they are quite expensive as it is coming up to half term. I am planning to be there around 12th Nov.
We still need to find someone who is going to be there to act as proxy and to query the numbers, though as per phase 1 I think any reduction will be small despite the fact that Roda s proposed fees are well in excess of other developments
This meeting is to adopt the budget until 31st Dec so no doubt there will have to be a further meeting to adopt budget for next year, probably done at 6 month intervals.
If anyone wants to discuss further please PM me and perhaps we can email or talk direct.

Is it possible to scan and then e-mail the signed Proxy form to youwith an instruction to nominate the President by function rather thanby name ( because obviously no one knows who it is at this time ) ?
E-mail is much better than post because there is a large postal dispute ( strike ) in the UK at the present time

Normally people send apologies for absence but never indicate who is attending the meeting. If the problem is the proxy form you can always give it to the President of the Community that will be elected in the meeting by the owners.

Further to your posting this is the response that I got

The reason for this meeting is to create the community. When the President is elected he or she will decide the date for the AGM in which all matters will be talked and explained.
The calling for the meeting was sent 20 days before, almost a month, and it is established in the by laws that it has to be sent by post 15 days before. You can always give your proxy to the President of the Community which will be elected by the owners.
We are sorry for the inconvenences.

I suppose we will have no choice to offer a proxy to the elected president, but it would have been nice to have a say in their election and also to ensure queries over various costings are brought up.

I was reading on the general forum about a development in marbella where the charges are 1000 euros per month to cover the costs of the yet to be completed other phases.
Is anyone aware if this is the case at Roda, and as each phase completes the charges will decrease?

we were out there at the time but did not get to meeting.
we heard it went ok (better than phase 1 meeting im told)
i believe rates etc were agreed up to the end of the year, but have no details.
any details would be welcome.

Has anyone out there heard any more details about the community fees or further news from the community AGM - surely someone manages to attend! I am surprised there has been no more discussions here on the meeting.
Also any phase 1 owners have an estimated cost on utilities. What is the monthly electricity, water or gas working out at roughly?
Appreciate any up to date info!

I agree with you June there does not seem to be the same interest in the phase 2 meeting as there was in the phase 1 meeting, all I can imagine is that most problems were ironed out in phase 1.
I have been told the monthly gas etc is about 30-40 euros can anyone verify this?
