Hi all, new to this site very interested in all your comments regarding MRI we also bought in block 2 in Feb 06, just last week

got a call from MRI aftersales regarding furniture packs which start from 8995 eur which I think is very expensive considering all white goods are included in the price. The girl from MRI was very adiment that we pay now as it is on a first come first served basis as they are marketing porto fino now for June 08, when I said I was considering purchasing our own furniture she said that there would have to be a safety  certificate issued which can be quite costly which I think is nonsense, has anyone else heard this? I was also told that getting a mortage in Spain was the simplest thing in the world now after getting in touch with Financial Partners there seems to be a mountain of paper work  also we have to get our own Credit Rating from the Credit Bureau if anyone has any more info let know

thanks Dee

Hi Dee,

We also purchased via MRI and i have to say the furnture packages are beautiful but you will pay for it.....they are out to get as much money from you as possible and the sadiest thing is that they actual believe their aftersales service is the best on the market....!!!!! NO... we purchased with them on another complex said they would rent it for us on completition and next thing we heard after buying is that we have to get them to install fire alarms etc to ensure the property is up to renting standards this will cost €6,000 euro if we do not purchase their package they cannot advertise the property for us with their Hugh Client Base. We have opted to not go with them at all.. I think they are loosing a number of buyers additioanl revenue this way.

We also went with CPF and although very nice the information they requested was not bad but they did not require a credit survey done on you at this stage maybe policies have changed. But watch out for the charges as they can mount up well above what MRI originally told you...... They say you will get a better deal with CPF but we found taking the builders mortgage out was more beneficial saving €3,400 on charges...!!!! and better terms than CFP offered.... shop around.

Good luck

Hi Dee,

You say al the white goods are supplied, are you sure?  If yes can yuo give a run down of what was said?

This was not my understanding from MRI, can anyone else let me know if they were told imilar and when?  This could be another great example of NRI misleading either me or ???  Or indeed is this a new promotion that new punters are getting and anyone who bought ages ago is getting shafted?

Can someone please let me know?

Oh and what about connection for electric water etc is this in our price or extras?

Any and info is welcome!

I agree with the previous post as per what white goods you get.  They were in the show flat and we saw some for use in block 6.
