hi all its the cabby, been interested in this development for some time now,and have been folowing the forum and development with interest. my question is, is it possible to buy a property on this development, without having anything to do with the various rental schemes attached? it seems to me as time goes by these schemes are looking less and less attractive.it seems all the terms that were promised in the sales material are changing constantly, and not too the benefit of the purchaser! what happened to...  the property will be returned to the owner in "pristine" condition... now it seems you have to pay for "wear and tear" ...or..... income paid into any bank of your choice fornightly... to ..six months in arrears! how do you  on this forum  feel about this? can you if you wish not be included in these schemes if you dont want too. your thoughts appreciated

Hi,

We are not aware that the rental schemes are compulsory, can't really see how they can be.We are thinking of possibly organising our own rentals for Tee 17 using an agent who rents out other property for us in Spain.Would anyone else be interested?Obviously it's some way off yet as Tee 17 has only just started, but it might be worth looking into.We live in Spain and would look to use a local property company  for the changeovers during the renting periods.

Hi Cabby & Seagull,

the points you make are valid concerns, but whether you intend to keep for rental, or sell, or decide to live in it, its in everyones interest to get the rental agreement terms right (and therefore as advertised when you purchased) - so moan and complain and get it put right before signing - even if you decide to sell, having the right rental terms will make the property more attractive to buyers, as it was to us when we brought originally.

As far as buying and living in it, thats your choice, and if you want to rent it out on the open market thats your choice as well..... there is no obligation to sign up for the offered rental scheme, all you sign at first is the purchase contract - totally up to you if you sign the rental one on final purchase - however that does not mean the offered rental scheme should deviate from what was advertised - if it does then there are reasons to object.
