Hi y'all on Al Andalus Hills

Has anyone successfully managed to pay the IBI Council Tax yet?  You need the receipt in order to pay the Renta Tax (1st one for us is due by 31/12/07 - ie end of the year following the year of completion).  Apparently the Town Hall should send the first Council Tax bill, which you need to pay in person at a Town Hall but subsequent years can be paid by DD.

It's all completely foggy to me, so I am just repeating what the solicitor has told me!

Hi Webster ... obviously no one does? Are you sure this is not included as part of the community charge?

No definitely not part of the community charge, Dave.  Just been looking on this site under general forums and there is a quite a bit about the IBI under 'after completion' sites.  Some say you have to go to the Town Hall in the first instance, others say the lawyer registers you.  Some say you get fined 10% per day you are overdue on 2006 tax (which was due by 31 Dec 2007 incidentally so it could add up).

I did manage to pay my non-residencia thou, and in time!  I have trouble filing by SA in UK on time!
